November 23, 2004 | Nightmoves

We were all excited before the kick off of 'More than a party' when we started hanging ‘de heilige zeug’ with posters at eight and pleased to see that people were already at the door at 10 PM. As soon as the first people were in, the atmosphere was already great. It was super to meet so many nice people from everywhere. You guys really came from everywhere! The number of countries is mentioned in the thread ‘the day after’ and it’s amazing.

I also have to give a big compliment to the DJ’s Cubik Planet, Daniel and Ultrablack. You guys did an excellent job. Some improvising was necessary, as one of our DJ’s had to cancel because of sickness. (Get well soon Puffino!) The dance floor was full every time. I know that the music was not loud enough for some people, but I was very pleased with it. Normally, I have to war earplugs when going to a party or disco, but this time the volume was perfect and everybody had the change to talk to each other without having to shout.

I hope that the lack of a proper wardrobe wasn’t too bad. We felt a bit bad about the flooded ladies room at the beginning of the evening. Sorry about that, ladies. It wouldn’t have anything to do with the Dave poster hanging there???? Talking about the Dave posters: we had Dutch Beetle to thank for that. She managed to lay her hands on them by spamming H&M. Well done, Dutch B! Quite some fans knew how to appreciate this decoration, because we didn’t have to remove one single poster ourselves anymore after the party. ;-))) The only bad thing was that the end of the party came too soon. I couldn’t believe it when the music stopped. It felt like it had just started!

There are already many photographs and links to personal sites where people show their pictures made that night. It reflexes the good mood. My god, did everyone have a camera?!? :-o

What can I say? Thank you so much everybody for coming over to Amsterdam and make this DM meeting a great success. I also have to thank Puffino. He couldn’t make it to the party, but he had managed to drag his sick body to Kleintje earlier that day to provide for the posters. I sure hope that everyone enjoyed it as much as I did and that we get the chance to do it again next year.

November 20, 2004 | Pre meetup

Despite car crashes, flight delays, airport strikes and some bad weather quite a lot of people made it to the pre meetup at Durty Nelly's...

Good fun, hope to see loads more faces tomorrow ;-)
